My family and I moved into our new house last month and we are experiencing the beginning of the damp cold that envelopes London from November until March. It's funny because we moved from Toronto, which can be positively frigid, so you'd think we would be well prepared for London's winter! I think the difference is the lack of central heating here in London. One of the features we loved when we initially saw the house was the hard wood floors throughout but bare floors + cold = not cosy. Time to cosy up our house and figure out the rug situation.
Use this infographic to help guide you with proportions - so important to avoid the "Dessert Island Coffee Table" look. I found this on the One Kings Lane website.
